Police were called to the incident at around 2.48am on Saturday (May 24).

The Porsche had been taken from a location near St John’s Road in Southborough before patrols located it a short distance away in Bright Ridge.

Although the vehicle was stationary, the engine was still running, and a suspect was seen inside.

Body-worn footage shows how officers boxed the car in before going after the suspect on foot.

An officer shouts “don’t move” to the suspect as he is arrested, despite the man trying to flee on foot.

A search of the car led to the recovery of stolen number plates from another vehicle in Tunbridge Wells.

A 25-year-old man from Boston in Lincolnshire is currently bailed with strict conditions, pending the outcome of further inquiries.
