Woman, 35, arrested after man dies at property in Kings Road, Herne Bay

A 35-year-old woman has been arrested after a man was found dead at a property in Herne Bay.

Police were called to the address in Kings Road shortly before 5.30pm yesterday.

The alarm was raised by paramedics who had attended the flat at Kingsley House, next to the Esso petrol station.

A man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene, with his death being treated as suspicious by detectives.

Officers remained at the scene throughout the evening and overnight, with a number of police vehicles stationed in the road outside.

Forensics specialists in protective clothing were also seen going in and out of the building.

Police confirmed this afternoon that a woman known to the victim has been arrested in connection with his death and has now been bailed while enquiries continue.

The man’s next of kin have been informed.
